For those familiar with the old NorthEast TCP Association, while I was
president, Dennis KD1CA was vice president. I was just informed by past
president K2MF that Dennis is now KD1CA/SK as of 23 Feb 2021.
Dennis had a very long battle with cancer and was in stage 4 for quite
a while. His wife Martha I understand is both quite saddened and at the
same time relieved as she was his primary care taker and had been
taking care of him through out his hospice tenure as well.
Dennis (often referred to as Denny) was a good friend to us all
involved with NETCPA and was always encouraging new things on the IP
protocol system especially in regards to how it worked over amateur
radio.
For those not familiar with NETCPA, we were a packet group that
paralleled NEDA but concentrated on the IP protocol whereas NEDA
focused on NetRom, and later FlexNet.
If anyone is requesting more details on this, please contact me and
I'll relay them as I get them.
