Hi all

This is a re-send of my previous email to remind you we hope to be on-air 
and on-line from about 1200 UTC this coming Thursday, if not then, 
as soon as possible after. We're scheduled to commence sometime Friday.

There are some 850 Venturers and 300+ Leaders involved, so we expect to 
be busy.

I've sent this mail to several lists, so I apologise if you receive 
multiple copies.

The 14th Australian Venture, "ESCAPE" commenced in Perth on Sunday 
4th January 2009. http//www.escape2venture.com/

For the first part of the Venture the participants are engaged in
expeditions around the South West of Western Australia.

The W.A. Scout Communications Team is operating an Internet Cafe and
Amateur Radio Shack. These will be in operation from Friday 9th to
Wednesday 14th January 2009.

The Internet Cafe will enable the Venturers to catch up with email,
blogs etc. chat online, and chill out.

The Amateur Radio Shack will be on-air from Friday 9th January until
Wednesday 14th January 2009.

We will be using the callsign VK6SAA
*Our timezone is Western Australian Summer Time, UTC+9*

We will be working HF bands, on or near the Scout Calling Frequencies
(these are a mix of World and Australian Scout Calling Frequencies)
*V**oice calling frequencies *

3.650 and 3.790 DX, 7.090, 14.190 or 14.290, 21.190, 28.590, 52.160

*Calling frequencies for Slow Scan TV (SSTV)*

3.630, 7.033, 14.227

*Calling Frequencies for PSK31*

We will be listening on 2 metres VK6RFM Repeater Echolink VK6DN Mode
170709 IRLP 6200
We will have Echolink onsite, VK6SH.

We will also have equipment for listening and talking to satellites,
hoping to get a 25 year certificate from ARISS, and maybe also a few
QSOs via repeaters on board satellites.
