Hi All

The Asia-Pacific Air-Internet Jamboree is on this weekend - the format
is the same as JOTA-JOTI, so if you can get on air or online you can
meet Scouts from around the Asia PAcific Region (that includes Australia)

Cheers all

I've just come across the following post on eHam which may be of interest:
Bangladesh Scouts will establish two Amateur radio stations (s21shq) as
a part of the 4th APR Air/Internet Jamboree 2008.
This time Bangladesh is the host country for this Jamboree.
The amateur radio stations will be on-air on scout frequencies in
10/20/40m amateur bands from 02 to 03 August.
One station will be in Sylhet in the eastern part of the country,
operated by S21AM, S21S and S21RC. The other station will be in Bahadurpur,
near the capital and will be operated by S21D, S21M and S21O.
The plan is to run two radios in the first station, one with an inverted V
in 40m running 100w and the other one with a beam antenna running QRV
covering 10 and 15m. The second station also will run two radios,
100w with inverted V for 40m and 20m.
The operators will mainly communicate with neighboring country?s scout
stations but also will do DX in their leisure time. Special QSL card is
printed for this occasion, EB7DX will handle QSL for this camp.
Electronics log will be posted in his website http://www.eb7dx. com/

For more information please visit http://www.banglade shscouts. org.bd/

Propagation predictions for these dates suggest the best time on 20
metres (beam 320 deg) would be between 16:00 and 20:00Z with a weaker
signal opening between 09:00 and 12:00Z. Please note that Bangladesh time
is 5 hours ahead of BST.
