Hello ISS fans! Since I connected to RS0ISS on 22/12/03 there
seems to have been much confusion over call-suffixes and freqs
used.
They have been using -B and not -11 for PMS as previously
stated, and now we have it officially from HQ ARISS that they
are using -1, as was the practice when they went off the air on
1/1/03.
Our AMSAT UK reported on 31/12/03 that they were using simplex
not duplex (145.99 up for IARU region 1), preumably on the
basis of some official report.
As I have observed they ARE using the PMS, but as RS0ISS-B.
N6CO has resumed putting ISS Keplers up on the PMS and other
hams are connecting but I am not. Perhaps they have installed
CTSS as was being discussed before they went silent last year.
I would be very grateful to have a clear statement on what is
actually happening, and not just bureaucratic "spin" from some
headquarters. 73 Don.
