Russia is to launch nine satellites in late June from the
Plesetsk
military cosmodrome in northwestern Russia, space
officials said
Thursday as quoted by ITAR-TASS news agency.
Russia's lightweight Rokot rocket will carry the Canadian
Space
Agency's Bridge satellite, the Mimoza satellite owned by
the Czech
Academy of Aciences, a Russian Monitor-E space complex
model and six
small Japanese satellites.
The Rokot, developed on the basis of an intercontinental
ballistic
missile RS-18, was first launched in March 2002.
