AMSAT News Service Bulletin 005.07 From AMSAT HQ
SILVER SPRING, MD. JANUARY 5, 2003
To All RADIO AMATEURS
BID: $ANS-005.07

Stations have been requested to please cease PCSAT transmissions as of 02
January 2003.

Bob Bruinga, WB4APR, provides the following update. "PCsat reset overnight
over Europe and we are trying to get it back into low-power conservation
mode. We will try hard for a day or so, and so it will be nice if everyone
goes QRT to give us a chance to get back into positive power budget." Bob
continued, "We can try over the next several days to recover, but if we
don't get it by then, I assume we have lost dark ops again until mid FEB
full sun period."

Additional information is available on the PCsat WEB page
http://www.ew.usna.edu/~bruninga/pcsat.html

[ANS thanks Bob, WB4APR, for the above information]
