It sure does.

Even better if your local MP is the opposition to the national govt,as
the local MP is looking for every scrap of evidence to use against the
majority party.

As I have found, if my local MP says "jump" when holding a governing 
minister to account, they ask "how high".

I have piles of letters here, all on House of Commons headed notepaper,
from radio related stuff to car tax, to pensions etc etc.

It's what democracy is all about, and yet it's surprising how little it
gets used properly by the proletariat ;-)

It take's more than just a cross on a ballot paper to take part in democracy.

Go on you Kiwi's, go for it.
