I am a licenced practitioner of MTM II.

My exam permits the use of AMISWOP and MSC after my name.
I once qualified in Work Study Organisation & Mehtods. Or Time and Motion
study as most people called it.

1/100th of an hour was and still is called a 'standard minute' I don't
know why. Perhaps someone was trying to make us 'lose' normal minuts like
GMT and kc/s.

We also worked exclusively in cm and Kg. Most of the time; this was 40
years ago, we had to convert back to feet and inches. All of the time we
converted back to 60 mins per hour.

The workers in the factory, who's bonuses we calculated, never knew about
'standard minutes'. They hated us enough for continually reying to reduce
their wages. BTW, we even had stop watches calibrated in standard minutes.
Confusing at first but we got used to it.

The systen I trained in was Swedish. It is usually the French who are
trying to get everyone away from older units. It looks as though they have
failed with the 100 minutes to the hour. Pity they didn't fail with
Newtons,Teslas,Pascals, etc.

Any other T&M people out there ?
