from October 20-24th. He will be in holiday but activity will be from=0D
=
20 to 10 meters SSB, RTTY and PSK31 using his FT897 and a Delta-Loop=0D
=
antenna. QSL via DL2AH, direct or to the DL Bureau.
BHUTAN, A5. The C=
lipperton DX Club crew led by G=E9rard F2VX, Jean-Louis
F9DK, Vincent G=D8=
LMX and Alain F5LMJ will be active as A52CDX. They will
departure on Oct=
ober 22nd and after a stop in Bangkok they will start.
Activity will be=
divided in two periods:
1st) Between October 24th to 31th, the crew wil=
l be active from the Ham
Center in Thimphu. Entering the CQWW SSB is s=
cheduled as part of the
activity 2 or 3 stations will be able to handle=
the traffic at the same
time from 10 to 80 metres in CW, SSB and digi =
modes (PA 1kW, Yagi, and
verticals es wires antennas).
2nd) From Novemb=
er 2 to 11th, the crew will be settling the new station
for the ARC of t=
he Jakar High School (Cent. Bhutan). A 100W transmitter
and wire antenna=
s will put on the air , the members of the expedition
always as A52CDX=
Watch the clusters since no permanent Internet link with the base i=
n
France will be permanently available. For both operations,the QSL car=
ds
come to F9DX either direct or via the French REF bureau.
ANDAMAN I=
SLANDS, VU4 (Infos) . There is an opportunity to be proactive
in a effo=
rt to help activate this rare DX. Recently there's been a
signific=
ant change in personnel at the Department of Telecommunications
and now =
the minister of communications is VU2DMK,Shri Dhayanidhi Maran.
Recently=
Randy, WX5L have been in contact with Miku, VU2WAP which he is
asking f=
or our help to provide a written support and encouragement to
the Indi=
an Telecommunications Ministry to obtain authorization for an
operatio=
n from VU4, Andaman Islands.
Miku has written several high level authori=
ties explaining the use of
this wonderful hobby. Miku needs support f=
rom the DX community to help
in his application by letters of support an=
d showcasing it's benefits.
