In the AM days on VHF it was illegal to run a silent carrier and just as
illegal to put music on it. I devised a two tone device that put an
alternating two tones on my carrier to alert others seeking DX on 50 megs
that I was around - sort of beacon. They are all CW these days of course -
beacons I mean.
