This is the first of a series giving details of the US Rose network that is
accessable from the VK2 and VK6 Rose networks. The connect string which you
use to make the connection is as follows;
C CALL V VK2R?? 3100 612341
CALL is the callsign of the application or station to which you wish to
connect. Connect to HEARD first to get a list of the stations on the frequency
The column Time since heard will show the most recently active stations.
If your switch replies with
*** Disconnected Route Not Defined
contact your local switch manager and ask him to insert the US DNIC which
is 3100.

This is a Minneapolis <TRI-LINK> ROSE switch, courtesy of TWINSLAN
Local Mpls/ St. Paul users are encouraged to use the gatway switch's
to get to <TRILINK>. The calls of these gateway's are:
NetRom Node: TRILNK:N0JCN-6 ROSE Switch: MPLSGW-1:612001
This gateway allows access to <TRILINK> from the other MetNet
served nodes on 145.63,145.65,145.69 reducing the load on 145.05.
To access <TRILINK> in this method connect to one of the MetNet nodes then
connect to the Gateway node TRILNK:N0JCN-6. Here is an example from 145.63.
C MNSTP (call is WB0GDB-1)
C TRILNK (call is N0JCN-6)
C Call v MPLSGW-1,Switch_Address
Read the file METNET.HLP at WB0GDB (da metnet.hlp) for further help.
If you are on 145.05 connect to another station on <TRILINK> with this command:
C Call V N0JCN-5,Switch_Address
Call is the Callsign of the station you want to connect to (End Station)
Switch_Address is the address of the switch that serves that station.
A directory of available SWITCH_ADDRESS's is available by connecting to the
INFO application @ 612411.
