How about cayene pepper mixed into grease!
There was a gentelman around here who had trouble with keas in his vege
garden, always digging up his carrots and things...he was a crack shot with a
sling shot but they would watch untill he left home... and then strike! He got
rid of the problem but hiding whole chillies in potatoes and fruit. End of
problem.
