The Operators Voice (7th ORIGINAL-QRP-CONTEST 1/2-JAN-2000, Non-DL):
Nearly 80 years old but still enjoying QRP CW...best wishes to you all for
the coming century (G8PG)...family visiting Newyearsday...still managed to
work a lot on only 1/2W! Might have sent No. 38 for QSO No. 37 (Kopf nicht
ganz klar...)(PA9RZ). Tr‚s heureux de participer … votre contest QRP. Au
prochain jïespŠre (F6ABI).Where was everybody?(PA7XG). It's harder to find
time than correspondants at that period of the year...(ON4KAR). ...wish I
had spent more time on 20m (G4ZME). It was nice to work some VLP stations
with good signals on 20m. Most enjoyable though the hand key was 'hard
going'! Many thanks for 'putting on' the show! (G8IB). Started to work on my
SST20 on January 1st and finished late at night... .Had my first QSO the
following day in contest. What about a new contest category RBIC = Rig Built
In Contest ? (OE5EEP). Very busy especially around 7030 (M0AEK). ...did not
have time enough to do the test properly (OZ6ABZ). Because of Church and
family commitments not on air when I wanted to be (G0KRT). 9 hours of rest
period is too long...(LY2FE). Really nice...especially the VLP stations.
Pleased to work DK0LOW (G0TYM). Condx bad and only few stations on the bands
(OK1AIJ). This contest has become a pleasant blend of QSO-party and contest.
Between 12 and 14 UTC too low reports from me because of a faulty TR-relay,
sri abt that (SM6FPC). Perhaps due to some malfunction on my old HW-8 I could
not enlong my log (EA5ADE). Many people were sleeping in the start of the new
Millenium!! (I1BAY). QRPers have friends the world over - even in their
neigborhood...(DJ6ZF). ...was tired and unable for active participation in a
contest...(9A3FO). With only one rig for 7 MHz closed after just 17 QSO but
had a lot of VLP-FUN (PA3FSC). ...fb to meet the homebrewers and morsemen
again in 2000 (PA3ALM). This was my 7th ORIGINAL QRP CONTEST and my 2165
contest log entry at all (YU7SF). Thanks fer nice time (GM4BKV). All aerials
down after a storm during the contest (G4FDC). Used my "spare antenna", as my
usual dipole was down as we expected strong storm (F5JDG). My rig always
fault in the test (EA1EWG). Strong QSB on 20m was troublesome ...but still
fun (DL7UWO). At the end I regret for having taken more than 9 hours of rest
period (F6ACD). Good old Argonaut boroughed from my friend and quite good
conds with plenty of stations made a pleasant New Year Y2K experience
(OK2BTT). Some trouble with commercials on 20m, the HW-8 isn't too selective

Worked more stations than ever before...worked some incredible weak stations!
(PA0RDT). Had a lot of trouble with a second hand QRP+ which failed so that I
couldn't finish several contests. For this contest it was all ok...good luck
to all with QRP and QRPPP (YU1LM). I'm living on 2nd floor at the house of
I1BAY, he is the owner,hi. Nice operators in high ham spirit contest (IK1FVO).
