Hello Warren and all ....
When I read about your comments on the Hotel Gitmo..in Cuba
I went to have a look at ,just how the US got that base there,
and if it was a 100 year lease like Panama.
Seems after the Spainish American War, the US had virtual
control of Cuba, and as a condition of letting go of this
country, they got from the Cuban President of the time
a grip on this base, which can only be ended by mutual
consent. I'll leave everyone else to read the rest
which is interesting, even that the Cuban President they
made the agreement with was also a US Citizen, which
nowadays would have the press howling <g>.
Funny thing, the boat next to me in the marina, is flying
a Cuban flag, and made the trip into this lake via the
waterways. Anyhow, after a week of rigging, and friggering
out where the owner has his lines, etc..I think I am ready
soon to fire up his engine, and get this hole in the water
out of harbour into the open lake for a sail....calm day
I hope in case I have problems.

the moon come up over the lake and trees.
