Greetings band detectives ;-)

I've been playing today and listening to OTH radar QRM on the 15m amateur
band at 1400 UTC Sunday 2nd May 2004.

The signal seems to have 2 peaks as if the same signal was being sent on
2 overlapping channels which in total takes up about 25Khz bandwidth.

A simple PC 'scope running at 44.1Khz sampling rate looking at the audio
revealed pulses of about every 25mS.

The only concrete data I have is the specs of the Raytheon system in Canada
using 125Hz pulses and also being approx 25Khz in bandwidth.

Is the digital 'scope here missing something ?

I've never been a fan digital 'scope - I hate them even when they are
hugely expensive and bought by employers but I can't help feeling I may
be being misled here.

Anyway, it would be nice if the collective intelligence of some proper
radio bods could be put to use rather than read about the same old crap ;-)

Shall we try and play RF detectives ?

- Andy -
