Notes of interest:
HH - HAITI, NA-096. Hans,DL7CM, Sid,DM2AYO, Manfred, DK1BT, and Juergen,
DL7UFN, are going to activate Hispaniola in CW/SSB/RTTY/PSK/SSTV
on 6-160m from Jan 28 until Feb 15. Their call will be 4V200YH (Four
Victor Two Hundred Years of Haiti). QSL via DL7CM. Their logbook
will be available on their homepage:

J3 - GRENADA, NA-024. Bob,J3/AA1M, and Mike,J3/W1USN will be QRV from
Grenada in CW/SSB/PSK31 on HF between Jan 29 and Feb 6. QSL via
homecalls.
TJ - CAMEROON. Oscar, IK2AQZ, Giuliano, IK2OPW and Mario, IW2HUZ are
QRV as TJ1GA until January 30. Activity is on 80 to 6 meters using
SSB and PSK31. QSL via IK2AQZ.
VP8- SOUTH ORKNEY ISLANDS, AN-008. On his way to Laurie Island Henry,
LU4DXU, now arrived at his first stopover Ushuaia. He is QRV as
LU4DXU/X until Jan 22. He will try to activate an offshore island
but this depends on the transportation opportunities. Tune your
receiver to 14290 kHz! On Jan 23 Henry will board the supply ship
"Almirante Irizar" from where he will be active as LU4DXU/mm. The
arrival at the scientific "Orcadas Base" on Laurie Island is
scheduled for Jan 26. Between Jan 26 and Feb 29 he will hit the
airwaves from there signing AY1ZA on the frequencies:
CW on 28035, 24905, 21035, 18090, 14035, 10120, 7025, 3515, 1835 kHz;
SSB on 28390, 24930, 21190, 18130, 14290, 7090, 3785 kHz;
RTTY on 28120, 21090, 14090 kHz and PSK31 on 21070 or 14070 kHz.
QSL for AY1ZA via LU4DXU.
YV0- AVES ISLAND. "The Daily DX" reports that the tenth most wanted DXCC
entity will be activated in late January or sometime in February by
Radio Club Venezolano (RCV). This operation will coincide with the
RCV's (YV5AJ) celebrating their 70th anniversary in 2004. Activity
is expected to be on all bands and modes, including operations on 6
meters, SAT, digital modes (RTTY, PSK, SSTV) and possibly EME. They
also plan to have a YL operator for the YL chasers. The callsign
will be annouced at a later date. More details are forthcoming.
