Notes of interest:
5W - SAMOA. By the time you read this, look for operators 9A6XX, M0GMT,
K9YO, N1SNB and 9K2RR to be active from now through August 14th.
Their callsigns were not yet known as this was being typed. They
will have two stations active with activity on 160-6 meters, SSB,
CW, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via N1SNB. [TNX OPDX]
FG - GUADELOUPE. A group of Spanish operators will be active from here
between September 23rd and October 9th. Activity will include an
entry in the CQWW RTTY Contest. Before and after the contest,
operators will be on SSB/RTTY/PSK31/SSTV. Operators will be EB2DTP
EA2RU and EA2RY. Look for them to sign homecall/FG or FG/homecall.

KG4- GUANTANAMO BAY. Cory/N1WON and David/WA4ET will be active as KG4CM
and KG4DP, respectively, from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (NA-015), from
August 14-21st. Activity will be 80-6 meters, SSB, RTTY and PSK.
Please QSL KG4CM to N5FTR and KG4DP to WA4ET. Reminder: Please do
not send cards for this event to the bureau. There is no KG4 bureau
for Guantanamo Bay. Please QSL as directed to receive QSL cards.

KL - The Daily DX reports that W6BK will be on Adak Island (NA-039) on
3-5 August. He expects to operate SSB and CW with some PSK31
"at the 5 watt level". [TNX 425DXN]
VP9- Gino, IK2RZP will operate as VP9/IK2RZP from Bermuda (NA-005) on
3-25 August. He will operate mainly RTTY (including an entry in
the SARTG Contest) and PSK31. QSL via home call, direct or
bureau. [TNX 425DXN]
W - Steve, W3HF will be active as W3HF/4 from Bogue Banks Island
(NA-112) on 10-16 August. He will operate on 40-15 metres mainly
PSK, with some SSB (stations who want SSB operation please contact
Steve at w3hf@arrl.net so that he can have an idea of the demand).

YI - Steve, OM3JW reports that his son Mike, OM2DX has obtained his
personal licence (YI/OM2DX) as well as a special contest call
(YI2X). He will be active (on all bands CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK 31)
for the next three years from the Slovak Ambassy in Baghdad. QSL
for both callsign (and for his activity as YI1BGD) via OM3JW.
