Notes of interest:

9N - NEPAL. Kiyo, JH3PAS, will take a holiday in Katmandu, Nepal August
     11-19th. He will be using the callsign 9N7AS on the HF bands, CW,
     SSB, RTTY and PSK31. This is his third visit to Nepal, and this
     time he wants to make many contacts with U.S. and S.A. stations.
     He will concentrate on 30 meters and CW, RTTY/PSK31 modes. Don't
     expect any low band activities because of the summer season. QSL
     via his home callsign by SASE direct only to: Kiyotaka Ichikawa,
     IssikiI-Nishi 1-74-3, Hiraoka, Kakogawa, 675-0117 JAPAN.[TNX OPDX]

KH8- AMERICAN SAMOA: Ulli, DL2AH expects to operate 40-10m SSB, RTTY
     and PSK as KH8/DL2AH 16 - 23 July. [TNX RTDX]

PJ7- ST. MAARTEN (Possibly FS also!). Igor Slakva, VA3YDX (also US1IDX)
     will be active from PJ7-land as PJ7/VE3YDX from July 12-26th. He
     also hopes to be active as a mobile (FS/VA3YDX/m) from the French
     (FS) part of the island. He is on vacation with his family, so
     operating may be somewhat limited from his usual style. He hopes
     to be on RTTY and PSK as well as SSB and CW. His rig is an ICOM
     w/100 watts and wire antennas. He will be in the HK Contest as well
     as the NA QSO RTTY Party. QSL via his home callsign VA3YDX direct
     to: Igor Slakva, 2900 Bathurst Street, apt. #307, Toronto, Ontario
     M6B 3A9, CANADA. Bureau is "OK" also. [TNX OPDX]

TZ - Javi/EA5KM, Paco/EA5RD, Julio/EA5XX, Max/I8NHJ, Doug/N6TQS,
     Luis/XE1L and possibly others will be active as TZ6RD from Bamako,
     Mali on 12-23 August. They plan to operate on all bands, 6 metres
     included, and modes (CW, SSB, RTTY, PSK, SSTV and Sat AO-40) with
     three stations around the clock. QSL via EA4URE. Further informa-

UA - EUROPEAN RUSSIA. Vlad, UA1RG and others will be active as R1PQ
     from Novaya Zemlya, IOTA EU-035, from July 15 to 25. Activity will
     be on 40, 20, 15 and 10 meters using CW and SSB, with some RTTY and
     PSK31 as well.  This operation commemorates those who participated
     in the 1941 to 1944 Polar Convoys. QSL via UA1RJ. [TNX ARLD]

V3 - BELIZE, V3. Pamela, KB5UAE and Wayne, N5WD will be QRV as V31UA and
     V31WD, respectively, from Placencia from July 15 to 21. Activity
     will be on 80 to 6 meters using CW, SSB and PSK31. This includes an
     entry in the upcoming CQ WW VHF Contest.  QSL both calls via N5WD.
