Notes of interest:

EM - ANTARCTICA. Paul, UX2HO, is now active signing EM1HO. He is 
     located at the Ukrainian Base on an Argentine Island in the 
     Antarctica. He just arrived on the island two weeks ago and
     is active on HF with 200w and a vertical. He is also active
     on 6 meters with 100w and a simple dipole. He will be instal-
     ling a 4 element yagi on six meters in the future. On HF, he 
     will be on SSB, CW and the digital modes (including RTTY and 
     PSK31). Paul will be here for one year. QSL via I2PJA.

5U - I2YSB, I2UIY and IK2DIA will operate from Niger between 27 February
     and 12 March. Callsigns (one for SSB and one for CW/RTTY/PSK31) 
     will be issued upon arrival. They plan to have three stations 
     running and to operate on 10-160 metres + 6 metres CW/SSB. QSL for 
     both callsigns via I2YSB either direct (Silvano Borsa, P.O. Box 45,
     27036 Mortara- PV) or through the ARI bureau. The web page for the

     will be updated  with logs  and pictures  during the  DXpedition.

6Y - JAMAICA, The DXpedition University group are QRV until March 6.
     They are signing 6Y8A, WT6G/6Y5, WA6O/6Y5, K0COP/6Y5, W6NS/6Y5,
     N6XG/6Y5 and K2KW/6Y5 with four stations on 160 to 6 meters using
     mostly SSB, with some CW and possibly PSK31.  QSL 6Y8A via WA4WTG,
     others via homecalls.

FO & ZK, FRENCH POLYNESIA AND SOUTH COOK ISLANDS. Dominique, F6EPY,
     will be on a "South Pacific DXpedition" during the first fews of 
     March. Look for him between March 3-7th, as FO/F6EPY (?), from 

     Moorea Island (OC-046), French Polynesia. Also, look for him 
     between March 8-16th, as ZK1EPY from Rarotonga Island (OC-013), 
     South Cook (and possibly Aitutaki Atoll). Operations will be mainly
     on CW on 80-10 meters including WARC bands.Look for him 18 kHz from
     the lower band edge (7018, 10118, 14018....etc.). There is a possi-
     bility of some SSB, digital modes (PSK31, RTTY) and 6m SSB.Activity 
     will be concentrated on European propagation. His equipment is an
     IC-706 MK2G, Butternut HF9V and 2 x 20m center feeded Zeppelin and 
     a 3 elements beam for 6m. A Web site is available at:

MJ - JERSEY. Pete/K8PT and Craig/K3PLV will again trek to the Channel 
     Island of Jersey and be active on March 14-20th. Emphasis will be 
     on digital modes (CW/RTTY/PSK31). Operations will be on 160-10 
     meters with an emphasis on the WARC bands and IOTA frequency 14260
     kHz. Please QSL via their respective home callsign.

PACIFIC TRIP (2) ---> Dominique, F6EPY  will operate as FO/F6EPY from
     Moorea (OC-046) on 3-7 March and as  as ZK1EPY from  Rarotonga 
     (OC-013), South  Cook Islands on 8-16 March Look for him on or 
     around 3.518, 7.018, 10.118, 14.018, 18.118, 21.018, 24.918 and 
     28.018 MHz  CW, possibly with some PSK31 and  RTTY (SSB QSOs on 
     request). Activity on  6 metres will depend on propagation.  His

QSL  3D2CI ---> The Conway Reef team has been signing 3D2CI since around
     23 UTC on 21 February. Bulletins are regularly posted on 
     http://www.magma.ca/~ve3exy (with link to other sites). Please note
     that there will be two QSL managers: YT1AD (Hrane  Milosevic, 36206
     Vitanovac, Yugoslavia) for SSB and CW contacts on 1.8-30 MHz and 
     Z32AU (Dragan Kosteski, P.O. Box 35, 6000 Ohrid, Macedonia)for RTTY
     PSK31, SSTV, FM, Satellite and contacts made above 30MHz.

UR - UKRAINE, UR5FCM the big fun of HAM Radio is active mainly on 10M
     Having unstable Transceiver he is anyway in AIR PSK31 Mode. Also
     he has slow 486 DX2-66 Machine with B/W monitor. Beeing a poor man,
     Igor looking for a sponsor to get the better RIG and machine faster
     than DX2-66  Any suggestions are welcomed.
