Notes of interest:
KB8NW - Tedd Mirgliotta, Editor of Ohio/Penn DX Bulletin, now in
hospital with heart problems. Lets wish him fast recovery
and keep him in our prayers.
HA - Tibor, HG4I will operate as HG03HNY from 20 December to 12 January
to celebrate the new year. He plans to be active on all bands CW,
RTTY, PSK with some SSB. QSL direct to Tibor Szabo, Budai u. 6.,
H-2465 Rackeresztur, Hungary. [TNX 425DXN]
KH3- JOHNSON ISLAND. Gary Belcher, KH6GMP, informs OPDX that he will be
on a one man DXpedition to Johnston Island from December 11-17th.
The following modes will be used: SSB, RTTY, PSK31, there will be
no CW operation. His callsign will be KH6GMP/KH3. QSL via KH6GMP
with SASE or IRC or via KH6 Bureau, NO E-mail QSLs please. During
the ARRL 10 Meter Contest, activity will be a full contest effort
SSB only. Prior to and after the contest, activity will include
RTTY and PSK31 Operation. [TNX OPDX]
KH3- Johnston Island-KH6GMP is scheduled to operate /KH3 from December
11-17 from this Pacific Island. KH3 is the 15th ranked entity
needed on RTTY. RTTY, PSK31 and SSB modes are planned. Don't miss
this one. [TNX RTDX]
XU - CAMBODIA. Dick, N6FF is QRV as XU7ACB until December 18. He
may try some RTTY and PSK31 activity on the higher frequencies.
QSL to home call. [TNX ARLD]
YI - Mike, OM2DX [425DXN 603] will be using YI9OM for a few weeks, while
waiting for his call to be issued (hopefully YI9DX). Please note
that the new QSL route for contacts made with YI9OM from 28 Nov.
2002 is via OM3JW. Mike will remain at the Slovak Embassy in
Baghdad for 2-4 years and plans to operate on all bands CW, SSB,
RTTY and PSK31. Topbanders should look for him after 20.30 UTC on
1832-1833kHz. [TNX 425DXN]

Digital Prefix Contest sponsored by the Penn-Ohio DX Society
(PODXS), to be run 14 December 2002 00:00 UTC until 24:00 UTC.
Mode categories SWL, PSK, RTTY, Hell, MFSK, Throb, Packet and
Multimode. Trophy to the highest score, certificates to each
High score/mode, Attaboys for 070 member participation. See the
