Notes of interest:
3XY- GUINEA. The DL7DF crew is happy to announce its next DXpedition
to Guinea using the callsign 3XY7C. Operations will take place
between October 30th (evening local time) and November 13th (noon
local time). They will have several stations on the air on all
bands from 160-6 meters on CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. They will
also make an attempt on SSTV. Their experienced crew includes
Tom/DJ6TF, Dirk/DJ7UC, Manfred/DK1BT, Wolf/DL4WK, Frank/DL7UFR,
Tom/DL7BO and Sigi/DL7DF. The equipment consists of 4 transceivers
(2 x IC735, 2 x IC706), 2xkW linears (maybe 3), a TH3 for 20/15/10
a A3WS (17/12), 2 Titanex V80E Lowband Verticals, a GP for 40/30,
another R5 Multiband GP as well as 5 laptop computers. The QSL
route is either direct or via the bureau to DL7DF. An on-line log
will be available and updated during their DXpedition. For more

FO/a- AUSTRAL ISLANDS, OC-051. Tony,3D2AG, will be on the air from Rapa
Island (OC-051) signing FO5RK on all bands (also 6m) from Oct 27-
Nov 28. Besides working in CW/SSB he also plans to make some QSOs
in PSK31 and MFSK16. More information is available on his website

HB0- LIECHTENSTEIN The same procedure as every year! Diethelm,DJ2YE/
HB9AON, Hans,DK2PH, Hans-Georg,DK5EZ, Falk,DK7YY, Rolf,DL8DAW,
Heinz-Willy,DL8EAQ, and Tom,HB9DOD, are going to Liechtenstein to
put the multiplier HB0/HB9AON in as many WWDX SSB logs as possible.
Look for them on 50 MHz and in PSK31 on 20m before and after the

KH8- AMERICAN SAMOA. A Multi-national team of DXers will be going to
American Samoa (KH8) and their operation is expected to start
October 26th. They will concentrate on Europe when propagation
allows, thus allowing EU to gain IOTA OC-077 during openings.
The team is currently studying the propagation forecasts for 160
meters. The team hopes that they will be able to give the deserving
KH8 on topband. It is requested that you visit their Web site for
updated info on propagation conditions from the islands. The team
intends to activate two islands at the same time (3 operators on
each island). The islands are Tutuila Island (IOTA OC-045) and Ofu
Island (IOTA OC-077). Modes of operation will be CW, SSB, RTTY,
PSK31, SSTV. The dates are as follows:
October 29th to November 8th (2002) - Activity from Tutuila Island
October 30th to November 6th (2002) - Activity from Ofu Island
The team consists of 6 operators:

VP5- TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS, VP5. Jack, N2VW and Frank, WA2VYA will
participate in the contest as VP5T as a Multi/Multi entry. Before
and after the contest they also plan to be QRV using CW and PSK31
