VHF BPSK31 ACTIVITY IN ITALY

BPSK31, LISTENING QRG

Since Oct. 2001, in Italy there has been activity with mode BPSK31
in VHF, initially at 144.610 MHz as indicated in tha IARU band plan,
then at 144.680 MHz, always in the digital mode sub-band, but frequently
interfered from other modes inherently wide band.
In Europe there is the trend to move the BPSK31 qrg in the sub-band for
narrow digital modes such as cw, so we are beginning to listen for BPSK31
signals at 144.150 MHz every night from 17 to 18 and from 19 to 20 UTC.

De Octobre 2001, en Italie il y a eu activitŠ en BPSK31 sur la bande VHF,
initiellement a 144.610 MHz comme indiqu‚ par IARU, apres a 144.680 MHz,
toujours avec des interference par autres systemes de trasmission a bande
large.
En Europe il y a la tendence a faire activit‚ en BPSK31 dans la sous-bande
cw, qui est un systŠme digital a bande etroite. Nous avons commenc‚ a
ecouter a la frequence 144.150 MHz chauque nuit entre 17 a 18 et 19 a 20
UTC.
