countries on the Bands.

Notes of interest:

3DA0-SWAZILAND. Frosty K5LBU, will once again operate from here between
     July 11-18th as 3DA0CF. Andre, ZS6WPX, will be his host and take
     him to the station which should have a 3 element tribander plus 
     dipoles for the low bands. They hope to put up something for 6 
     meters during this time. Frosty plans on bringing a RigBlaster to 
     try some PSK (if he can learn how it works), otherwise it will be 
     all SSB. He also plans to be in the IARU Contest. Frosty states he
     will arrive in ZS-land on the July 5th and leave for Houston, 
     Texas, on August 4th. He teachs school, so he has to be back by 
     August 9th. QSL via K5LBU direct or bureau. SASE or SAE and USD or

NA-112 Steve, AK0M, plans to be active from the North Carolina State
     West Group (USI NC-011S), on Ocean Isle Beach, grid square FM03
     and possibly FM13 and FM14 from June 23-28th. Activity will
     primarily be on 20-10 meters and 6 meters, with possibly some
     30m and 40m activity depending on conditions. Operation will be
     sporadic, as this is a family vacation trip. Preferred mode is
     CW, but some SSB is likely and possibly also PSK31. Frequencies
     will be on or near the standard IOTA frequencies. QSL via home

LIGHTHOUSE ACTIVITY AND NEWS
     Look for Joe, KB2AVB (ARLHS member #629), to be acive from Tibbets 
     Point Lighthouse (USA 848), Cape Vincent, NY, June 21st, 22nd, and
     23rd. This operation will be mainly on SSB, but there may be some 
     CW and PSK-31 activity. Activity will be on 80/40/20/10/2 meters. 
     QSL via KB2AVB. [TNX OPDX]

OP0- BELGUIM (Special Prefix). A Belguim radio club station (ON6CK and
     OT2R) will be using the special callsign OP0GS at various times to
     commemorate the "Battle of the Golden Spurs" until the end of 2002
     On July 11th, a special activity day,OP0GS is planned to be active
     for a 24 hour period on different bands and modes including RTTY 
     and probably PSK31 also. QSL as follows: OP0GS via ON5GK, ON6CK 
     via ON4ADN and OT2R via ON4ADN. [TNX OPDX]

OZ - Per, OZ1DGQ will be active from Laeso Island (EU-088, NK-003 for
     the Danish Islands Award) from 19 June through at least 20 August.
     His QTH will be close to the Harbour Lighthouse (DEN-029) and he
     will operate mainly after 18 UTC on 10-80 metres SSB (with some CW
     PSK31 and RTTY) and on 6 metres (+/- 50.200 MHz). QSL direct only

SU - EGYPT. Alan, VK6BN, is now active as SU9BN from Sharm El Sheikh,
     Southern Sinai. He has been active on CW and PSK31 on 20 meters 
     between 0230 and 0530z. Alan has been stating to QSL via VK6BN, 
     but OPDX was informed early Sunday morning by Fran, EA7FTR, that 
     he is now the QSL Manager for Alan. His address is: Francisco

XW - LAOS. Champ, E21EIC, will be back in Laos again and will be active
     as XW1IC from June 19-29th. Activity will be on 80-10 meters(maybe
     160m) and the WARC bands on modes CW, SSB and RTTY. For PSK-31 and
     SSTV, you must request for a specific mode and bands. QSL via 
     E21EIC (OK for direct or HS bureau). ADDED NOTE: More than 1000 
     XW1HS QSL cards have now been sent out. [TNX OPDX]

VE - Sasi, 9V1SM/VU3SNM plans to operate as XM7/VU3SNM from Victoria
     (Vancouver Island, NA-036), British Columbia on 8-16 June and as
     XM6/VU3SNM from Edmonton, Alberta on 17-20 June. I will be active
     on 20, 15, 12, 10 and 6 metres SSB and PSK31. QSL via 9V1SM either
     direct or through the bureau. [TNX 425DXN]

W  - Special event call K1D will be aired (on 28380, 21380, 14270 and
     7230 kHz) between 1 and 15 June to celebrate Kid's Day (15 June)
     and Amateur Radio Awareness. The operators will be Peter (W1DAD)
     and Jeanne (K1MOM) Schipelliti. QSL via W1DAD either direct (Peter
     Schipelliti, 7 Dearborn Ridge Rd, Atkinson, NH 03811, USA) or

ZC4- Steve, ZC4BS reports that during the month of June there will be
     two brand new  prefixes from the Sovereign Bases on Cyprus. The
     Easten Sovereign base will use the ZC40xx range (Steve will be
     signing ZC40BS), and the Western Sovereign base will use the
     ZC41xx range (example ZC41WSB club station). [TNX 425DXN]
