Hi all,
Build 284 of this free PSK31 program is now available.
This will definitely (probably) be the last 2.1 beta :-)
Two major enhancements (PSK31 Deluxe):
[1] The Super Browser can now talk to you as it finds new stations. This
requires Text-to-Speech on your computer. This is an optional way of
monitoring a band without being glued to your monitor. (Requires Windows
98/ME/etc. or Windows NT/2000/XP. Not supported on Windows 95.)
[2] The logic when entering text being sent has been improved as suggested
by Wolfgang OE1MWW. This avoids confusion (apart from anything else.)
Text-to-Speech is free from Microsoft, the URL(s) are in the Help menu.
Note: this is not supported for Windows 95. It is a standard component of XP
(as far as I can tell). You know if you have already installed
text-to-speech - there is a Speech entry in the Control Panel.
You will need to download and install Microsoft Reader 2.0 (3.7 MB) from:
http://www.microsoft.com/reader/downloads/pc.asp
and Text-to-Speech 1.0 (5.9 MB, English, French or German) from:
http://www.microsoft.com/reader/downloads/tts.asp
Simon will add more customisation of Text-to-speech pronunciation later.
If you have any questions just ask in the FT-817 Commander/PSK31 usergroup.
