Actually, that's not quite true.  It's true that you can use whatever is
in the bandpass of the transceiver and it will work.  But, you'll very
likely have audio harmonics if you use anything under about 1450Hz.
There are more and more of these bad signals as more and more newcomers
get on using default 1000Hz settings.  Use less than 900Hz and you can
end up with a third harmonic also.

Please use something around 1500Hz for all of these "sound card modes".
