Thanks for the info, guys.
I'll post here for a sked when I get hooked up.
Can't wait for April 15! Tech+ to Extra!!!

Hi Ted,
First things second:
Using isolation transformers is a good idea. The different input impedance on
the Icom is of little significance, but the fact they have a polarizing voltage
(8V-ish) to bias up electret microphones they use _is_ significant. You will
need to add a 1uF (microFarad) electrolytic or tanatalum capacitor (tants are
smaller) between the transformer and the mic input. It should be polarised
positive to the rig.
The relevant pin numbers on ACC-(1) (the 8-pin one) are:
1 nc
2 Ground * cable shields
3 Send * when grounded puts radio into transmit
4 Mod * audio in to transmitter
5 AF * audio out from receiver (fixed level)
6 Sqls
7 13.8V
8 ALC
I suggest that, although it may be slightly more complicated, rather than use
the mic input on the radio, you use the 'Mod' input on the above connector.
It'll need less attenuation from the 'blaster output and you won't need the dc
decoupling capacitor mentioned above. The complication arises from the
necessity of bringing a keying line (usually from RTS or DTR on one of the
'puter's serial ports) through a simple transistor buffer to yank down the
'Send' line on ACC-(1) for transmit.

Subject: [psk31] WA8TXT's PKS31 Interface Card
I would like to order a psk31 interface card from Lectrokit but do not want
to give out my credit card over the net in light of recent security problems.
The e-mail I've sent to Lectrokit comes back "undelivered" and I can't find a
phone number for either Tom (WA8TXT) or Lectrokit. Can someone give me a
phone number I can call?
Thanks,
Joe, K0JN
