Subject: [psk31] PTT Interface Problem
I am having difficulty with the PTT function in PSK31 using 3 different
software programs
Essential Info:
PC Compaq 200 MMX Win 98 OS
Computer to radio PTT interface is circuit described in QST, Apr 99.
Pinouts: DB-9 pin 7 = RTD,
pin 4 = DTR, pin 5 = ground
With the radio on, when I start up computer the PTT is triggered as follows:
Briefly during “Windowsö screen
Briefly during Task Bar opening
Briefly when Outlook starts and then stays on permanently after Outlook
is open.
When Outlook is closed, PTT stays on.
Deleting Outlook from autostart routine does not help.
In other words, with no programs running, the PTT is keyed
Any help would be appreciated!
