Haha! I wasn't going to post anything about this, but that comment got
me!
Ok, so a server burped or something, if it bothers you then forget the
darn
computers and get on the air!

:)

ff,

Fran KM1Z

...and, yes, just like all of us, I got 40 or so emails from the list
dated
July 8 or 7th.
such is life in the internet world. Who knows what happened, somebody
hit the wrong button or something somewhere, it happens. Lighten up and
turn
on your
radio. :)

Some folks still care about the technical details of
ham radio. I know in this country standards for the
tickets have been lowered so much that the technical
details are more or less fading away in favor of
operating procedure.(thats easier to learn and more
hams mean more money for the retail interests.) I was
not part of that discussion but it is refreshing to
see that some folks still care about other aspects of
the hobby than merely gabbing.

Whats nothing to you or I might be interesting and
important to others. Reflectors arent for the
edification of one particular person. They are for
many. You can always do what I do when I subscribe to
a list and find out that most of what is on it is not
what interests me. Instead of complaining about what
everyone else is talking about (most of who were
probably on the list before me) I look for the
unsubscribe directions which usually accompany each
post sent from the list server. Not all lists are
interesting to all folks. I stay on ones that have
discussions that for the most part interest me. If
they dont I look for another list. Hope these
suggestions help. Take care !!

Has anybody heard about a future version of sbw 106 that may have a type
ahead buffer?? I would find that very handy to use. My current version
immediately starts transmitting when you type a character. I am so new at
it that maybe I am doing something wrong. Love the mode.

Thanks and 73,

Got the old messages too. But: I just spoke to my wife and
she had the same experience on the International Translators
List, and those too originated from A2000, our local cable
company in Amsterdam NL. Shortly A2000 was bought by a big
American company. Could that be the source of the trouble?
