Hasan,
Thanks very much for this information. I still have the demo version and
was thinking about buying the registered version. The function key
improvements sound really good.
Can the window be resized? I notice that with my demo version I can display
the program in 640 X 480 but I cannot reduce the window so that it can exist
on screen alongside my Windows logging program.
PSKSBW can be reduced to a very small window that allows me to keep an eye
on a QSO while doing something else of the computer.
Also, I saw your comment " especially with respect to how the
program copies" and I am wondering what you meant . Does Mix32 have some
problems in copying ? I have not noticed that in PSK31 or RTTY.
Thanks,
Andy.

Dear Barry,
This question was discussed at great length on rec.radio.amateur.digital.misc
not too many weeks ago. However, the only way you would be able to access those
messages now would be through DejaNews, I believe.
I have looked at the Windows Multimedia API trying to figure this out. To the
best of my ability, to understand how Peter's code works, it would appear that
his code will grab the first card that it finds that meets the requirements. One
question is, how does Windows order the two sound cards when it responds to the
query for devices. I would assume that it would place them in the same order as
indicated by which is primary and which is secondary in the control panel. If we
make that assumption, and if I am correct on how the API calls are being used
with PSK31SBW, then Peter's program will always grab the primary card.
So, I think that it will behave the way you want without your doing anything. In
fact, I know of nothing that you can do without modification to the PSK31SBW
code.
Here is my question, since you have the two sound cards, why can't you within a
few minutes tell us which card it grabs? That is, you should be able to try it
in less time than it takes to write the e-mail message. Of course, I don't know
how you are going to recognize which one Windows has designated as Primary
unless they are different Make and Model - Hi!

Hello E.T. :
I am using K4CY, Bob Furzer's, LOGGER program version 6.07D, which is
FREEWARE, and is downloadable from URL: http://www.itis.net/golist/dl.htm
LOGGER uses much of the G3PLX (Peter Martinez's) psk31sbw code, plus an
integral spectral tuning display.
