Notes of interest:

PY_ssh - Lunkes, PT2HF (Antarctic Award Checkpoint for Brazil) and
Stuckert, PT2GTI were due to leave on 27 October onboard the
Brazilian Navy ship "Ary Rongel" [425DXN 702]. They will operate
as ZX0ECF and ZX0GTI respectively from the Brazilian station
"Comandante Ferraz" (AA PY-01) on King George Island, South
Shetlands (AN-010), starting on 11-12 November until the 17-18th.
Depending on local conditions, they will be active on 160-6
metres SSB, CW, RTTY, PSK31 and SSTV. QSLs via PT2GTI.

TG - GUATEMALA. A group of Guatemalan amateurs will be QRV from the
Mayan Biosphere as TG7I and TG7M from October 30 to November 1.
They will be active on 40, 20, 17, 15 and 6 meters using CW, SSB,
SSTV and PSK31. TG7M will be QRV using digital modes, and TG7I
using SSB. QSL both calls via TG9ANF.

V2 - ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA. Team Antigua will be QRV as V26B during the
CQWW SSB contest as a Multi/Two entry. Members are also QRV
using their own calls before and after the contest on all bands,
with special attempts at 160 meters and the newer bands, RTTY and
PSK31. They may also try some Satellite work on AO-7 and AO-51.
QSL contest call via KA2AEV and all others via operators'
     instructions.

VP8- FALKLAND ISLANDS. The Group Tomball DX'ers (GTDX) has announced
their second annual DXpedition. This year the group consisting of
Cal White/WF5W, Keith Dutson/NM5G, Madison Jones/W5MJ and Paul
Frantz/W5PF, will visit the Falkland Islands. They will arrive on
Saturday, November 20th, and leave on Saturday, December 4th.
Activity will include an entry in the CQWW DX Contest as VP8WWW.
During the rest of their stay the group will be active on all
bands from 80-10 meters with the possibility of 6 meters depending
on conditions. The WARC bands will be emphasized, and there will
be activity on RTTY and PSK. Individual callsigns will be issued
upon arrival in Stanley. QSL all callsigns via W5PF. The group will
have two Kenwood TS-480HX tranceivers. Amplifiers are not permitted,
so this will be a low power operation. Operation will be on or near
     the following frequencies:
     CW - 3503/3523, 7003/7023, 10103, 14023, 18073, 21023, 24893,
