Notes of interest:

7Q - 7Q7MM will be the callsign to be used by G4AXX, GU4CHY, G4EDG,
G4JVG and M5RIC during their 18 April-1 May operation from Malawi
[425DXN 670]. They will be active on 160-10 metres CW, SSB, RTTY,
PSK, and possibly on 10 metres FM (subject to demand and
propagation). Activity is likely to be limited on 18 and 19 April
while the stations and antennas are being built. Plans are to have
two high-power stations on the air as close to 24hrs/day as
possible; a third station (100W) will be in use during peak hours
of propagation. Regularly updated on-line logs will be available at
     http://www.malawi.digital-crocus.com. QSL via G3LQP either
direct (Roger Brown, 262 Fir Tree Road, Epsom KT17 3NL, England) or
     through the bureau.

6Y5- JAMAICA. Riccardo/IZ5EBL and Rossella/IZ5BRO will be on the air as
6Y5/IZ5EBL and 6Y5/IZ5BRO from April 11-19th. Activity will be on
40-10 meters SSB/CW/PSK31. QSL via their home callsigns.

LX - LUXEMBOURG, LX. Stations SP5HNK, SP5MBQ, SP5UAF, SQ5IRO, SP6T,
SP7NJX and SP7VC are active as LX/homecalls from Wiltz until April
     6. Activity is on 160 to 2 meters using CW, SSB, RTTY and possibly
PSK31 and SSTV. QSL to home calls. They also plan to be QRV as
LX5A in the SP DX Contest. QSL via LX bureau.

SPECIAL EVENT. On May 1st, Poland will become a full member of the
European Union. To celebrate this event, look for the special
callsign SP0EURO. Activity will take place between April 28th
and May 3rd. Activity will be on 160-10 meters (including the
WARC bands), 145 MHz and 435MHz. Modes will be: CW, SSB, FM,
PSK31 and SSTV. QSL via SP9PKZ.

VO2- Fred, K2FRD, will once again be active as VO2/K2FRD. He informs
OPDX that he will be conducting another mini-DXpedition to VO2
Zone 2 Labrador this summer from June 1st until about September
7th. Activity will be on 160-6 meters. However, he states that he
plans to work the Maximun Useable Frequency as much as possible.
So look for him to be on 20 and 17 meters more than the other
bands, but he will try 15/12/10 meters if open. Fred states that
40 meters is difficult due to QRM and he will doing some 30 meter
CW. He will put up antennas for 160/80 meters, but he thinks he
will not have any success on those bands. Operations will be
mainly SSB with some CW and PSK31, and possibly some RTTY. For
more details, visit his Web page at:
           http://homepage.mac.com/k2frd/Labrador2004.htm

V4 - NEVIS. Larry KJ4UY informs:- "Mel and I will be leaving Florida
on April 23rd for St. Kitts and Nevis. We should be on Nevis on
the evening of April 23rd. Since I left a IC-706 in December, I
will have 6 meters on all the time. I also left an old AMeritron
84 amp at 500 watts output for low bands. I will be operating all
bands, 10 through 20 meters during the day and 40-160meters at
night with 6 meters on all the time. WIll be operating SSB, some
RTTY and PSK a little slow cw mainly on 160m. We will also be doing
some diving and visiting old friends. We will be concluding opera-
tions on April 30th and returning to Florida on May 1st. We will
also be returning to Nevis every 4 months, i.e., August and
December. US stations please qsl direct only to KJ4UY with SASE.
All others qsl to KJ4UY with SAE and return postage or via the
     buro. Thanks and 73-Larry, KJ4UY/V47UY

ZL7- CHATHAM ISLAND, ZL7. Franz, DK1II and Dom, DL5EBE will be QRV as
ZL2III/7 and ZL7/DL5EBE, respectively, from April 7 to 14. They
plan to be active on all bands using mainly CW and SSB with some
RTTY and PSK31. They will also be QRV with special callsign ZL7II
     QSL via DL5EBE.
