Well ... just my opinion, but to be a good success, the new code
should probably be based on Win95/WinNT.  The vast majority of
computers now sold to consumers have this OS as their standard.

Visual Basic / Visual C++ may be the best choice of development platform.

For this new BBS to win out in the market place, it must be very
simple to install and maintain ...

Certainly we will have many "old" computers on ham radio for many
years, but there is already good BBS systems for them.

The new code should look forward toward the situation 3-5 years away.
It will take 3-5 years to create this code ... and by that time even
a 486 will be a "junker system, not worth using."
