MORE INFORMATION

In a previous bulletin I referred to, and recommended, the program,
"W6ELProp" that provides the facility to determine HF propagation
forecasts as well as Great Circle bearing data.

In providing a resume of the facilities offered I forgot to mention that
W6EL has also included with the program some brief, but interesting, notes
on "Fundamentals of Ionospheric Propagation" as part of the "Help" files.

These notes should be of special interest to newcomers to HF operation and
any others who may not have previously studied the basics of ionospheric
propagation.

Sheldon, W6EL does point out that his notes do not cover anomalous
propagation phenomena such as backscatter, bent paths and ionospheric
ducting etc.

He does provide some comment on the matter of ionospheric disturbances.

Regards,

Ian
