Hi all,

I got a pair of Motorola GP300 Hand held's.

I have programmed them to the UK 70cm band, ready for use, as and when I
get my intermediate license, next month.

One problem.....

Both of them suffer with extremely low TX audio, when used without a
speaker mic. Plug in the external speaker mic, and the audio is of a
reasonable quality. Without the speaker mic, you literally have to kiss
the radio, and shout, in order to get heard.

I have checked the internal mic, and blown out the dust etc from it, but
to no avail.

Has anyone had experience of these radios? and is it a common, easily
rectifiable fault?, like just needing a new mic insert?

Many thanks & Best 73's

James - M3GXQ
