I think that you want to run HF and preferably PacTOR?
Only pactor 1 can be expected, not the P2 nor P3.
Be shure that pactor option is there. The latest AeA were
PK232MBX, but a single pk232 could be updated too for pactor.

Ax25 HF 300 baud
Ax25 VHF 1200 baud
Baudot (RTTY)
SIAM
For me this modem has been a real multimode with a modest cost.
The price might be close as a secondhand, if at least the version
7.0 is in the eproms. The updated pk232 has also a new manual!
