I agree, especially if you are only interested in the sound card driver
and not interested in Flexnet.  It just adds another layer of complexity
to something that ought to be very simple.  Perhaps someone will write a
driver that works like a packet driver.  A lot more people would be able
to use it.  If I were capable of doing it myself, it would already be
done.
