Subject: Kam Plus

I have just acquired an almost new KAM Plus but without any software.
the last time I used Packet which was ages ago I think I used KA9Q.

Is this still the best to use with KAM Plus or is there something
better.

Where do I acquire?

There's real value in giving your manual away free. Firstly, the
customer has already paid for a copy since they bought the equuipment.
Putting it up on the web in .PDF costs very little.

Another alternative is to put it on the web for everyone and
use it as another sales tool. Kenwood have their manuals on the web.
If you're looking for a particular obscure feature, it might be in
the manual but not the brochure; that's certainly true for one Kenwood
rig I considered and subsequently bought. Really, concentrate on
the core business and don't try to milk everyone for the last cent on minor
things like manuals.

I wish ICOM and Yaesu would publish their manuals on the web.

I don't know about that list, but the news server I use has that ng listed,
and it does have messages posted to it. The server I use is "news.idt.net",
and has somewhere between 30K to 40K ng's listed. I think you need to have
your Internet service through them, http://www.idtnet, to use this server
however.
