Subject: HeathKit HD-4040 Info

I recently bought a Heathkit HD-4040 TNC at a hamfest. It seems to work but
I have no manuals, cables to connect the unit to my rig or software to
drive the unit. I don't even know the specs for this unit. Of course I know
very little about packet. Any help in getting software and manuals..
(Specifically the manuals or reproductions on it) would be highly
appreciated.

                                                                    Thanks,

Jorge (KC4SHS)

Subject: MFJ 1278 OEM Software..

I've had a similar experience with MFJ recently. I requested some help about
my MFJ-1289 software several weeks ago and have no reply from them to date.
Has anyone been able to successfully establish contact with MFJ in the past?
Been helped? Should I keep trying them or should I save my time and efforts
and look elsewhere for help?

Is it that you cant get in touch with MFJ or that they cant help you
when you get in touch with them?

I recently purchased an MFJ 1278 from a friend whose father is a S.K. All
of the oem software is registered to him. I'd like to get a copy of the
software, and have had no luck getting in touch with MFJ. Any help would be
appreciated...
