Subject: Setting up a BBS

Hi list

Please forward this email onto anyone you think can comment on this
contructively as I am looking at creating a 'super' BBS.

I have been monitoring several lists for a while and I have had a
project on the cards for some time regarding a amateur radio packet
BBS,APRS link as well as a free internet link to hams.

The full setup will be a small home TCP/IP network with a total of three
or four PC's.This will be setup so no expense will have to take place
for the IP numbering although anyone with suggestions please email me.

One of the machines will ultimately be my personal favourite and another
will be the packet and BBS gateway running all sorts of services. The
third and seemingly final one will be a machine for me to mess about on
with computer hacking programs as this is another hobby of mine.On the
BBS side it would seem I would need to get JNOS and FBB to work on the
same machine to have full functionality.I have heard a fair bit of JNOS
talk on a couple of lists but I do not know yet where to get it or where
to read up on it.Is this program that can run on a win95 FBB machine or
is it only for Linux?

I have never setup a BBS before let alone a packet BBS so any help would
be appreciated.Suggestions are most welcome as I intend making this a
BBS that is user friendly and internet capable. This will end up being a
strictly run BBS but with the capability of allowing non-hams an insight
into our fascinating hobby.Who knows, perhaps all hams with packet will
end up with email addresses courtesy of my BBS?

Come on,sit down and rack those braind men,I have a job to do.

Subject: want MFJ1274B

I'm looking for a mfj 1274B tnc. I don't need all the extra memory and
stuff. I am putting another packet frequency online and running Jnos/ I run
my tnc's in kiss mode.
Thanks.
