Subject: HELP: KPC-3+ GPS tracker and MacAPRS
I am in need of help getting my KPC-3+, My Garmin GPS-II+, and my Mac
laptop to work together.
I am using the KPC-3+'s second serial port for the GPS unit.
I can get APRS packets from other stations, but I cannot seem to read the
GPS data. The information on how to do this lists some options for the
Windows only version of APRS. I followed every other instruction to a T,
but still can't seem to get it to work.
Has anyone done this successfully yet that might be able to help? I have a
public service event coming up on 8-21 and 8-22 in which this will be
needed.

Hi,
I recently purchased an MFJ 1270C bare bones model. I have a kenwood
TMG707A which has the data port and is capable of 1200/9600 baud.
The TNC fails to key the transmitter. The kenwood has the 6 pin mini-din
port for the TNC input/output. I've tried a wire I put together myself
(very carefully, making sure all pins were where they should be) and a
pre-fab wire from MFJ themselves. Still no luck.
Am I missing something here? The manuals don't say much.
