I've tried that a few times, but it almost always is misinterpreted on these
NG's.

My mistake... I forgot to mention the name of the PC-soundcard software I
am familiar with (FlexNet) and where to get info on using FlexNet with a
soundcard. (My Web-site, listed below)
Just push the "FlexNet" button, and go from there.
Good luck!

My definition of "obsolete" (and probably yours) is: If a product is
not worth spending the time/money to do a new design, given older
designs, then it is obsolete (from a product development) standpoint.
Auto manufacturers strive to obsolete their older designs every
three years. That certainly doesn't keep someone from driving
an obsolete 1992 Chevrolet.

Use SCC cards. A 386 will blow away a stack of 10 TNC's anytime when used
with SCC cards. (both price- and performance-wise)
