Silly.
This did inspire a thought though, supposing Cumbre Vieja has a major
flank failure just now (and there's absolutely no sign that such a
thing is anywhere close to happening; it's just one of many
possibilities, of course). Anyway, if there isn't the predicted Muthuh
of all Tsunamis, then scientists are going to get bad-mouthed for
scaring people. If there were such an event and scientists hadn't
talked about the possibility, they would get bad-mouthed for not
warning people.
Scientists can't win, can they. ;^)
