RAFARS RALLY STANDS
Members wanting to put on a RAFARS stand should organise this through the
Marketing Manager, Roy, G0TBY. After details have been arranged, Roy would
like a reminder two full weeks before the event.
If a late opportunity occurs and Roy isn't available, an emergency display
pack including commodities is available from Bob, G0DAM. Please remember
post times - asking on Friday for a Sunday rally is not on.
RAFARS ROADSHOW TEAM.
A Road Show Team leader is required. Please contact Bob G0DAM QTHr or Mike
the Administrator at RAFARS HQ.
GB2RAF AIR DEFENCE RADAR MUSEUM RAF NEATISHEAD RAFARS PERMANENT S.E.S.
GB2RAF will be QRV 13 Dec 2003 on SSB or CW around RAFARS Freq.
The Station is operational on the second Saturday of every month from 1000
-1500 local time.
All RAFARS/RNARS/R.Sigs who would like to operate or visit the station are
welcome. Phone Terry, G4PSH, on 01692 582064 if you wish to operate.
(Operators please bring your Amateur Licence and I/D).
WINDERMERE STEAMBOAT MUSEUM - MOBILE RADIO EVENT.
Roy G0TAK - 2E1RAF the AR for Lancashire staged such an event in 2001 and
has been asked to do so again in 2004, on 7th 8th August.
There will be a RAFARS Special Event Station (GB0RAF?), a RAFARS Stand and
an attendance by BBC Radio Cumbria, including the 'Cumbria Bus' equipped
with computers and internet access.
Roy will need lots of support for the event including manning the stand &
the SES Station, plus erecting and dismantling the displays.
RAFARS Members in the North West (or anywhere) who feel they would like to
assist please get in touch with Roy - QTHR in the callbook as G0TAK or by

The latest up-date on Shuttle Atlantis is that it has been delayed until
September 12 2004.In the meantime Soyez will serve the ISS.
