WIA votes "yes" for IARU admission

The WIA Federal Council supports the admission of three radio societies to
membership of the International Amateur Radio Union.
It has voted in support of three separate WIA postal motions on the IARU
membership applications from societies in Georgia and Armenia, and Vietnam.
This forms the WIA vote, which has now been sent to the IARU that will
announce the result of the ballot by existing ARU member societies next month.
If granted IARU membership, VARC (Vietnam Amateur Radio Club) will delegate
status for the IARU Region 3 conference in Taiwan, in September.
