RAFARS ANNUAL DINNER AND AGM.
The Annual Dinner will take place on Friday 13th October 2006 at the Danum
Hotel in Doncaster (DN1 1DN). The AGM on Saturday 14th October is at the
South Yorkshire Aircraft Museum (DN4 7HB) about 3 miles from hotel.
Full details will be in the Summer QRV at the end of July or early August.
DATES OF 2006 RAFARS COUNCIL MEETING AT DCAE COSFORD.
27th Jun. 19th Sep. 14th Nov.
An invitation to an Area Rep to attend each meeting will continue.
Any member may ask to attend but travel expenses are not paid.
QAP G8FC ON THE AIR FIRST MONDAY OF THE MONTH - INCLUDING 1ST MAY
Stan G0BYA and Don M0FHM will be QRV with G8FC at HQRAFARS every first
Monday of the month using CW on the hour and SSB on the half hour. QAP
around the RAFARS frequencies between 1000-1200 and also from 1330-1500hrs
RAFARS QRV JOURNAL.

NOTE GB2RAF will not be on the air on Sat 13 May or 10 June.
17 June GB2RAF will be QRV for Friends of the Museum Day.
On the 8th April 32 Stations worked with 24 on 3.710. We had a CW QSO
with TF3AO on 20m and worked a few Fire Stations SES.
GB2RAF should be QRV every 2nd Saturday of the Month 1000-1500 hrs local
on
SSB or CW on 80m or 40m if conditions are poor. For full information

INTERNATIONAL SPACE STATION/SHUTTLES.
1 Jul STS121 Shuttle Discovery. 32nd Mission to the ISS.
28 Aug STS115 Shuttle Atlantis 19 mission to the ISS
(All lift off’s are subject to delays).
114 Space Shuttles have visited the ISS so far and the ISS Project
is due to end in the year 2010.
VK2FOX PACKET.
On Tuesday 10 Apr News Desk received a packet message from Guy VK2FOX
(not RAFARS) saying how much he enjoyed receiving the RAFARS News Letters
by Packet. It just shows you, you never know who is QAP these days.
