Thanks for the prompt reply.

Would you believe that within minutes of sending my original bulletin I found the solution!! I wasn't quick enough in deleting the bulletin from the BBS, but that might be a blessing in disguise for other would be NBF users because I'm able to reply, advising what I had to do.

The soultion was to format the line in bbs.txt as such .....

C 192.168.1.25:6300 VK2TV <password> V W

And that's all there is to it. My IP address is non-routable because the connection is across the LAN.

I hope this message formats ok, the lines look a bit on the long side. Guess that in the absence of a bulky help document I'll learn by trial and error, and maybe a few complaints from the packet network, hi.
