Good evening,

Just wanted to share a real neat QSO that I had this evening on 2-Jun-05 @
18:25 hours, on the 20 meter band. It was with KK6BB, the amateur radio
station aboard the USS Missouri.

I had a nice time having a QSO with Ned, who was very imformative
explaining the history of the ship to everyone. The ship was in active
service from 1945 - 1955, and was decomissioned in 1985 for a refit at the
Long Beach Ship Yard. After the retrofit it was placed back into active
service from 1988 1992, when it was decomissioned and is now a museum in
Pearl Harbor.

You may have recalled seeing this ship in the action movie Under Seige
with Steven Seagal.

For those wishing more information about the ship, the amateur radio
station and operating schedule. Please see http://www.kh6bb.org
