I highly appreciate your precise information of subject ships.

Definitely yes.

USS POLLUX and  USS AJAX were repair ships.

They had lathes, drill machines  and other aiguille making machines.

It was also my pleasure to see those machine on ships.

I was  GS13 in equivalent, so they blew whistle  at quarter deck when  I boarded those ships.
