GOOD LORD! I would HATE to see Chrissie's moon, craters, pimples and all
that! Ah, he's cool and a lot of fun when he doesn't get nasty.
I'm glad you took my remarks in the spirit they were intended as I did
yours. Pretty funny stuff!

That was REALLY tongue in cheek in light of all the contraversey about
those "buildings" on Mars. I have read so many conflicting "explanations"
the whole thing reads like a joke book! I have the pictures, and frankly
it DOES look like a head! I don't know, could be a trick of the light, it
wouldn't be the first phantom in the mist that disappears at sunrise.
I can't see other countries spending money that they frankly don't have
to duplicate our efforts. Like I have said elsewhere, not at this time at
least. Maybe when space travel becomes practical beyond exploration a use
for the moon will be found and I'm pretty sure it will be.
As for MY interests, MARS is the target! For one thing, I would LOVE to
find out what those things are "up there". I saw a movie staring Walter
Konig, you know Chekov and his other space characters, where he headed an
exploration of those objects and found an ancient temple with some really
nasty stuff inside. Sorry, don't remember the title, just a dusty old
tape in the back of the video store in the B rack.
As for the eclipse, there is one coming up in Australia, or near to it.
I'm not too sure just where, VK5ELL wasn't too clear about where the
island he mentioned is where the observation equipment was set up, only
off the western coast.
Hey Chrissie, don't moon the Aussies and get them all confused when
they're looking for the sun. John Howard recently said something about a
"first strike", so you wouldn't want to get shot down as you fly
overhead. Those ANZACS just may take you as a threat to national security.
Oh, hold the flames, just kidding!
BTW, the taxpayers are NOT an endless suply of limitless funds, Congress
stands between us and the NASA budget, thankfully.
