Hi Buddy. I just got everything working right on my Win98 machine, and I'd be happy
to help.
What are the specific problems?
It sounds like, from the info below, that Cygwin is not being recognized by Windows.
The Cygfix program didn't work for me, as the Win98 registry didn't want to import
the regfile that was provided with the OliviaAid package. I had to manually enter the
information into the Win98 system registry...not for the faint of heart!
Once that was done, all was OK. I run mfsk_tx in one DOS window, and mfsk_rx in
another DOS window. Works FB. Have to use VOX control, though, as something
makes the COM port hang and puts my radio into "forever TX" mode. Not good. So
no PTT switching. Also had to adjust the audio to prevent ALC limiting.
If that doesn't help, just e-mail me directly.
